Ice Hockey Post Season Accolades

The 2016-17 NJCAA ice hockey All-America Teams were announced on Thursday afternoon. Hudson Valley Community College hockey team (13-12-2) had one player earn 1st Team All-American and two earn 2nd Team All-American honors.

First-Team All-Region and Region 3 Athlete of the Week recipient Kyle Constanty (Beekmantown/Plattsburgh), was awarded the 1st Team All-American honors. Constanty finished first for the Vikings with 22 goals, finishing tied second in the nation. He also led Hudson Valley this season with 34 total points.

Fellow 1st Team All-Region and All-Tournament team recipient Nate Muller (Bellows Free Academy/Highgate, VT) was awarded 2nd Team All-American honors. Muller finished the season ranked 2nd in the nation with a .919 Save Percentage, and 3rd in Goals-Against Average.

Defenseman Adam Hosmer (Westfield/Westfield,MA) was also named 2nd Team All-American and 1st Team All-Region. Hosmer led the Vikings with 16 assists, his best game came against UAlbany Club where recorded one goal and four assists.

Chris Breault (Agawam/Agawam,MA) earned 2nd Team All-Region honors, finishing second on the team with 14 goals and 29 points. Coach Ken Lancto earned Co-Region Coach of the Year after leading the Vikings to a 13-12-2 record.
