Hudson Valley Community College to Host Summer Camp Fair on Saturday, March 29

Who: Even as the last blasts of winter leave the Capital Region, local parents are busy choosing the right summer camp or activity for their children.
What: The fourth annual Summer Camp Fair at Hudson Valley Community College will bring together nearly 30 of the Capital Region’s summertime camp offerings. Parents will have the chance to plan for their children’s summer activities. The event will include a family fun area, clowns, a DJ, music, dancing and a bouncy house for kids.
Where/When: The fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 29, in the college’s McDonough Field House.
Details: In past years, hundreds of families have attended the Summer Camp Fair to learn about summer camp opportunities. Registration is now open for Hudson Valley’s Kids on Campus programs, which this summer will offer a variety of athletic camps, as well as Circus Theatricks, Technology Camp, Youth Theater Program and Summer Academy. Athletics camps will include adventure, all sports, basketball, cross country, dodgeball, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, T-ball, track and field, volleyball and wrestling.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 75 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 13,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
