More than 1,100 Expected at Hudson Valley Community College Open House on Saturday

What: Anyone interested in full- or part-time study is welcome to attend Open House at Hudson Valley Community College. More than 1,100 individuals are expected to attend the annual event showcasing the college’s 80+ academic programs and wide array of student services. Lunch and tours of the campus also will be provided. Walk-ins are welcome.
When: Saturday, Nov. 14; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Hudson Valley Community College, 80 Vandenburgh Ave., Troy, NY 12180. Registration takes place in the Siek Campus Center.
Who: Admissions, financial aid and student support service administrators will be present, as well as department chairs, faculty and advisors of the college’s four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 80 associate degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has 75,000 alumni.
