The Life Plus One (LPO) program provides eligible New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) employees the opportunity to continue or expand their academic lifelong learning. Courses are offered on-campus, off-campus and online. The Life Plus One (LPO) program is a collaborative contract-funded program between Hudson Valley Community College and the New York State OTDA.
State employees fully employed by OTDA are eligible to take part in the LPO program. The only costs to the students are textbooks. Tuition and parking are covered by the contract. Since 2002, there have been more than 450 employees who have taken advantage of classes and 31 have earned degrees and certificates.
OTDA students can select Certificate, Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.) and Applied Associate in Science (A.A.S.) degree program from the following majors:

If you take six credits or more in a term, you must obtain an immunization form from Health Service
Once you are admitted to the LPO program, please contact:

There is no admissions fee. Inform the Admissions Office that you are an LPO student and contact the LPO coordinator when the admissions packet is submitted.
