HVCC Leadership Workshop Series: Chaos Theory in Management
For this lecture we will explore a fascinating attempt to synthesize ideas from Physics into leadership capabilities. In what is certain to be a controversial discussion, merging physical science into social science opens a realm of possibilities that deserve attention. While Chaos Theory of Management is far from dogmatic in the world of leadership studies, it is worthy to explore unusual and underrepresented theories that may provide insight to a larger understanding. In addition, we will look at other cross disciplinary methods of leadership including Terror Management Theory from psychology and statistical methods which have become increasingly popular since the advent of Moneyball theory of the implementation of undervalued data points.
