The certificate program prepares you to enter the growing industry of solar panel installation and maintenance. The program includes courses in basic electricity, residential and commercial construction wiring, and photovoltaic theory and practice.

Coursework provides students the foundational knowledge to pursue Building Performance Institute (BPI) certifications. The program makes use of the college's TEC-SMART facility in Malta, which has a dedicated PV lab.

This academic program is primarily designed for those who wish to enter the workforce immediately following graduation. Some students who complete the Electrical Construction and Maintenance A.O.S. program continue on to complete this certificate.

This program is offered by the Building Systems Technology Department.
