Online Independent Courses: International Trade

Most businesses today operate on the global scale. The International Trade program delves into the five realms of global trade, from documentation, legal and regulatory, compliance, intercultural awareness, technology, and resources. The suite of courses offered by the Office of Workforce Development prepares learners to take NASBITE's Certified Global Business Professional™ exam.

Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) Exam Prep

The North American Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE) Certified Global Business Professional program certifies that a candidate is competent in four primary areas or domains: Global Business Management, Global Marketing, Supply Chain Management and Trade Finance.

Within each of these four areas, five "threads" or topics are covered: Documentation; Legal and Regulatory Compliance; Intercultural Awareness; Technology; and Resources.

Tasks and knowledge statements based on these areas and threads are tested through the CGBP exam.

This suite of courses provides an overview of essential skills for conducting international business. Each individual course contains a 25-question practice exam as well as tips and documentation to help you prepare for the exam. The suite of courses below prepares learners to take NASBITE's Certified Global Business Professional™ exam. They are included in the exam prep above, or may be taken separately, as shown below.

Upon successful completion of all courses in this certificate program, you can download and print a certificate of completion.

This certificate is designed for adult learners interested in preparing to take the NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional™ exam.

It is helpful for learners to have some knowledge of international trade management prior to the course. You should download the Study and Review Guide found at the NASBITE CGBP™ site.

This course has an "Ask the Expert" feature, which submits your questions directly to an expert in the field you are studying. Questions are answered as quickly as possible and usually within 24 hours.

You must achieve an average test score of at least 70 percent to meet the minimum successful completion requirement and qualify to receive International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) CEU credit. Learners will have three attempts at all graded assessments.
