The Foundation’s scholarship program makes it even more affordable and further lessens the financial burden for our students, which allows them to concentrate on achieving their academic goals.

Establishing a scholarship with the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation offers many benefits to donors including:

  • Promotion: The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation has experienced record-breaking growth in recent years because it offers students one comprehensive scholarship application. We understand that marketing scholarship opportunities is important in guaranteeing top-notch scholarship recipients to our donors.
  • Scholarship receptions: Once a scholarship recipient is selected, we honor the students at our scholarship reception. This is a popular event and provides an opportunity to recognize donors while providing a forum for them to interact with student recipients. The Foundation also issues news releases of all student recipients and provides photo opportunities at the scholarship receptions so that donors can further promote their scholarship in their publications.
  • Fair and impartial selection process: The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation offers a fair and impartial selection process. The Foundation has an established Scholarship Committee that reviews and selects all student recipients.
  • Prudent investment of funds: The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation has an Endowment Management Investment and Spending Policy that clearly outlines how your scholarship funds are invested.
