The Coaching certificate program provides all of the state-mandated coursework required for those who want to coach in the New York State public school system. If you want to coach any interscholastic sport in the public school system, you must complete this coursework.

In order to become a coach, you must also complete several mandatory professional workshops in order to gain New York State licensure. The college offers these workshops as well.

Please note that students enrolled in this program are not eligible to receive financial aid.

This is the only online program of its kind in the Capital Region.

The certificate is offered through the Health, Physical Education and Exercise Studies Department.
