New Student Academic Advisement Appointment Request

All new students in the Individual Studies A.A. and A.S. programs need to schedule an appointment to meet with an academic advisor in the Individual Studies Advisement Center to select their courses for the first semester. Please use the form below to make an appointment, or contact the Individual Studies Department.

New students also are required to attend New Student Orientation prior to the start of classes, either before or after their academic advisement appointment.

The Individual Studies (INS) degree program, will help you to prepare for many different career and transfer outcomes. Academic Advisors are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your goals, academic history and any concerns you may have about starting college.

Consider other required appointments on campus (Placement Testing, New Student Orientation, etc.) as you schedule your advisement appointment. In your academic advisement session, you will learn how to discuss and identify your academic goals, choose courses that will help you meet your goals, and work with an Academic Advisor to determine the best courses to start your college experience.
