Uniquely Abled Academy Bootcamp

Hudson Valley Community College will host its second manufacturing Uniquely Abled Academy (UAA) bootcamp in the summer of 2025, sponsored by SparkForce.

This inclusion camp is specific to individuals on the autism spectrum who may be interested in a career in the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) manufacturing industry and is required for anyone who is considering participating in the Uniquely Abled Academy at Hudson Valley in the fall semester.

The camp will provide basic instruction in CAD/CAM, CNC machining, cutting, drilling, machining, programming, shearing, stamping and welding. Campers will create projects using these methods.

DATES: June 9 - 26, 2025
HOURS: 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday
LOCATION: Gene F. Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing Skills at Hudson Valley Community College

NOTE: Students attending the UAA bootcamp must be high school students or others, ages 16-25, who are on the autism spectrum and looking at a career in CNC Manufacturing and/or to join the Uniquely Abled Academy program at Hudson Valley. Must have reading and writing skills and be able to operate machinery safely.
