Student Success Center

Staff in the Student Success Center provide guidance and support to students in need by connecting them with on- and off-campus resources, and work with the Healthy Alliance Network and the HVCC Foundation to provide students with access to:

  • emergency funding
  • food assistance
  • housing and shelter
  • utilities
  • clothing and household goods
  • benefits navigation assistance
  • mental health evaluation and support
  • individual and family support
  • education and employment assistance
  • substance abuse treatment
  • money management
  • and wellness support

Any student in need of support (even if the need is not listed on the list above) is welcome to contact the Student Success Center.

The Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) and Success Among Student Parents (SASP) programs also are part of the Student Success Center; these programs provide holistic student support. The Student Development On POINT (Prevention, Outreach, Inclusivity and Networking Team) can also be found in the Student Success Center. The team provides holistic outreach and engagement aligned with the National Wellness Institute’s six dimensions of wellness: intellectual, social, emotional, occupational, physical and spiritual.
