College to Offer College-Level Courses Around the Region this Fall

Thinking about going back to college? Hudson Valley Community College will offer nearly 30 college-level courses at locations in Albany, Clifton Park, Colonie, Delmar, Lansingburgh and Malta, beginning Monday, Sept. 14.

The courses will be offered at the college's Albany Extension Center on Central Ave. and at the Capital South Campus Center, located at 20 Warren Street; at the TEC-SMART facility in Malta; and at Bethlehem, Colonie, Lansingburgh and Shenendehowa high schools.

Most open enrollment off-campus courses offered by the college can be applied to a variety of degrees and also may transfer to other colleges or universities. Classes offered this fall include: "English Composition I," "Intermediate Algebra," "Introduction to Criminal Justice," "General Psychology," "Microeconomics" and "Sociology."

The cost is $171 per credit hour for credit courses; most courses are either three or four credits. The semester runs through Friday, Dec 18.
