College Celebrates Groundbreaking of $4.5 Million Outdoor Athletic Complex

What: Hudson Valley Community College will hold a ceremonial groundbreaking for the new $4.5 million Outdoor Athletic Complex. The event – open to the campus community, donors and media – will feature remarks by college leaders and dignitaries.

When: Monday, May 9 at 2 p.m.

Where: Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, Right Field Pavilion, Hudson Valley Community College

Details: The college's new Outdoor Athletic Complex will be complete in August 2016. It includes new state-of-the-art turf and natural grass fields, an eight-lane track, a concession and storage area, box office, grandstand seating and bleachers, a scoreboard and lighting. The facilities will be on the site of the current soccer/lacrosse/football fields and serve academic and athletic departments as well as community organizations and the general public.

Funding for the project was provided by the Faculty Student Association of Hudson Valley Community College, Inc. and New York State, the Athletic Department, Student Senate class gifts, and corporate and individual donors.
