Civilian Preparedness Expert David Diemer to Speak on April 1
March 25, 2019
David Diemer, a former Army Ranger with more than 20 years of experience in close protection and guard services, will present Watch Your Back, Look Ahead: Preparedness in an Age of Uncertainty on Monday, April 1 at Hudson Valley Community College. The free presentation will run from noon to 1 p.m. in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium on the Troy campus and is open to the public.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail, according to Diemer, who teaches strategies for civilian preparedness as CEO of R.E.A.C.H. 29, a full-service security business specializing in executive protection and site security that employs a network of security professionals throughout the world. Diemer’s experience is drawn from his military service and work with elite U.S. defense contractors. As a member of B Company 3/75 Ranger Regiment, he served in Somalia conducting high-threat missions, most notably the Oct. 3, 1993 mission chronicled in the movie "Black Hawk Down," for which he was awarded a Bronze Star. Time will be allotted for questions from the audience.
No tickets or reservations are needed to attend this free event.
