College Hosts First Interfaith Community Forum, Builds Partnerships

What: Hudson Valley Community College will hold its first Interfaith Community Forum to explore ways the college can partner with members of the Capital Region’s faith-based communities.

Who: More than 100 representatives from the region’s faith-based communities have registered to attend the event.

Why: Hudson Valley is interested in exploring outreach to local communities, including faith-based communities, in order to determine how the college can be of greater service in addressing the region’s educational and training needs.

Where: Bulmer Telecommunications Center Meeting Rooms, Hudson Valley Community College main campus, Troy, NY

When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019

Details: The forum will bring together faith-based community leaders from around the Capital Region to discuss how they and the college can support one another in their broad missions of service to the communities. The college will share information on services such as financial aid and scholarships, child care and health services, academic support, job training and Educational Opportunity Center programs.

Faith-based leaders are invited to share how the college can expand programs and services to meet community needs. The event will include guest speakers, a discussion of college services and roundtable discussions.
