Student Behavioral Assessment Team (SBAT)
The Student Behavioral Assessment Team (SBAT) meets regularly to discuss students who may need assistance from the college, who may present a threat to the campus, or who may be in need of services.
If this is an emergency situation, please contact Public Safety at (518) 629-7210 or 911 from any college phone.
The SBAT is composed of college service providers and includes members from Public Safety, Title IX compliance, Student Discipline, the Center for Access and Assistive Technology, Counseling and Wellness Services, Health Services, the Center for Academic Engagement, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Athletics, the Registrar's Office and faculty members.
Though many student services are optional and most students are not required to take advantage of them, the SBAT will refer appropriate resources following an internal assessment of student behavior or incidents reported.
Referrals can be made by any employee of the college. Referrals can also be made directly to any of the above service providers. However, simply because students engage in those services, does not mean their issues will be addressed at SBAT.
