Policy on Sealants
If you wish to have sealants on you or your child's teeth, an examination of the mouth is necessary. The dentist on duty may be asked to make the final approval. Bite-wing x-rays are necessary to rule out any decay between the teeth. If your private dentist is recommending sealants, we will need a prescription, signed by the dentist, detailing the particular teeth to be sealed. In this case, x-rays are not necessary.
