Aviation Maintenance Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program

The Pre-Apprenticeship Program will prepare potential aviation maintenance technician apprentices with the basic skills fundamental to entering the aviation maintenance career field.

This program will focus on the development of leadership, communication and professional skills that are essential in the aviation maintenance career field. Participants will also receive an introduction to the occupational, mechanical and risk management skills necessary for entry into this high-demand career field.

Opportunities will also be offered through first-hand experiences in general and commercial aviation environments.

Program Highlights

• 32-hour program that will count toward NYS DOL-related instruction hours
• Introduces students to the processes to obtain FAA certification as an aviation maintenance technician
• Small class sizes with personal attention from instructors
