Medical imaging professionals who complete this certificate assist physicians with procedures to help diagnose and treat heart and blood vessel diseases without surgery. Cardiac interventional radiographers assist with procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, embolization, ablation and biopsies.

Successful completion of this certificate expands the skill set of working radiologic technologists and allows them to take on wider roles within their profession.

Graduates sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Cardiac Interventional Radiography discipline.

Those entering this program must have completed an associate degree in Radiologic Technology and received ARRT board certification.

This program is offered by the Medical Imaging Department.
