This certificate offers hands-on training in all aspects of residential building including framing, foundations, masonry, insulation, interior finishing as well as plumbing and electrical work.
The curriculum incorporates classroom work and practical laboratories where you have the opportunity to build one to three small buildings in the Hudson Hall construction lab.
Some students transfer into the college's Construction Technology - Building Construction A.A.S. program to gain a broader background in commercial building design and project management.
This academic program is primarily designed for those who wish to enter the workforce immediately following graduation and is offered by the Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Computer Science and Mathematics Department.
